Short Bio
Robert Lanteigne's illustrious career in the field of lighting and automation began in the early 1980s, when he graduated from a Construction Electricity program. His exceptional skills and passion for innovation led him to be chosen for a pioneering Robotic program in Quebec. By the late 1980s, Lanteigne was instrumental in founding the Quebec chapter of CABA (Continental Automated Buildings Association), actively contributing to the association into the 1990s.
Lanteigne's significant contributions to building automation include the design of various interface components, panels, and programming protocols for leading manufacturers such as AMX, LiteTouch, X-10, Leviton, Lutron, and more. Transitioning into the 1990s, he delved into Solid State Lighting Control, furthering his expertise with a Master's degree in Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design.
With a commitment to sharing knowledge, Lanteigne engaged in educational roles and served as a Press Associate for numerous technical magazines in the fields of electricity, outdoor signage, and architectural lighting. Embracing the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT) in 2010, Lanteigne has been coaching manufacturers on the integration of IoT technologies like Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth LE into Solid State Lighting systems, highlighting the importance and benefits of this advancement.
